Well. For now it seems that neither my appointment with the dentist, nor the vaccinating will happen tomorrow. Dentist depends on whether I'll feel fit enough, but I don't think my doctor will vaccinate someone with a cold against the flu. Dammit. Call and ask. Flu and cold are two totally separate viruses and I think they'll do it as long as you don't actually have a fever. If you have a fever, you have the flu and not a cold anyway. ;-)

I know they're different, and I don't think I have a fever (will measure, though), which does seem to be the crucial thing. I'm just not sure if they'll do it when your body's battling on another front already, so to speak. But I'll definitely call first.

Danke! Zum Impfen? Keine Ahnung. Ich hoffe schon, ich hab ja nur noch drei Wochen Zeit. Mein Glück ist, glaube ich, dass sich bei unserem Landarzt nicht so viele Leute impfen lassen wollen, dass der Impfstoff ausgeht.

Vielleicht hat mein Vater ja auch die "Südamerika-Reise!"-Karte gezogen, als er für mich den Termin ausgemacht hat. Das würde ich ihm auch zutrauen.

Ooh, ginger tea. I haven't tried that yet. I think I'll make a stop in a supermarket on the way home.

Yeah, it always comes when you don't need it.

Hehe, I had it a few weeks ago when I was sick and it was actually way better than the Dobendan stuff.. Fresh ginger with honey works so well.

I don't know about the long-term effects, since it was worse still this morning, but the ginger really does do wonders while I'm drinking it. Far better than chamomile tea.

I didn't. :( They don't give you the shot when you have a cold in case you need antibiotics for that later, which would then render the vaccination useless. Also, I was number 11 on a list of 10, so I only would've gotten it if one of the others had had to cancel, which nobody did.
