The annoying thing about "this comes after A, which comes after B, which comes after C, D, and E..." is, that in most cases, it's absolutely rubbish. Often one or two sentences to sum up the background story would be enough and maybe a reference to the previous parts in case someone wants to catch up with the rest.

But saying "you have to read those first" always sounds like "read those, comment or else you're not allowed to read this one."

And uh, nope. I'm not supporting this in any way.

Me, neither. It's a little too much fishing for comments for me, never mind that I hate supposedly having to read five stories first before I understand another. I might make some exeptions, but certainly not for short, loosely connected one-shots, which most of them are.

I think summarizing is a very good idea, though, I should keep that in mind if I ever write a sequel.

Summarizing is definitely a good idea. At the moment I'm writing more/sort of a sequel to Blended and Blessed - the AU where Jensen and Jared are single fathers.

People don't have to read all previous 23,000 words to understand that a girl fell off a swing and hurt herself and now one of her daddies is kissing it better. I guess, saying that this is an AU where they are single fathers who met and got together is all a reader needs to understand

As you said, everything else is simply fishing for comments.

Sorting through pictures is a sort of never-ending job, isn't it ;-)

We've got such different taste in men! The only one of your current eyecandy I find attractive is Jensen Ackles, none of the others do a thing for me. I can objectively see that they're goodlooking but it's not of a type that interest me at all. (OTOH I sometimes wonders if I even HAVE a type, what with the extreme difference between the guys I do find attractive :-)

In an alone-on-a-desert-island situation, I'd get them all to make out for me. ;) But I understand different tastes, I know a lot of men who are attractive but don't do anything for me, either.

It is! Sometimes I'm thinking about just giving up and deleting all, or at least most of them (it's not like I don't have them burned on DVD anyway) - I don't ever look at them except for weeding out doubles and bad quality and pictueres that I simply don't like anyway. But I can't bring myself to actually do it.

I love and hate griddlers. They're cool, but it's so easy to get addicted and the longer I do them, the more they get stuck in my head and I start thinking about them all the time. But pretty boy pictures are probably better than griddlers. :)

I made the mistake in the beginning to just stuff all pictures of Lance in one big folder, all of Chris in another etc. and therefor lost every connection to dates or events these pictures might be from. And then later I decided that I wanted them sorted by event rather, and resorting is a lifetime job.
