Happy New Year, lj!

Due to a series of unfortunate events that started with Ouzo in the Greek restaurant and ended with Feuerzangenbowle I felt like shit yesterday. Poor Saba had to watch me sleep on the couch all day. I just made it really upright in time for pizza (which my stomach thankfully kept) but then pretty much lay down again and went to ( Read more... )

That icy journey to your house sounds insane! I'm glad you and Saba managed it.

That's great that you're getting good feedback. I really like that non-writers can send feedback too.

It was semi-insane for sure. But also kind of fun, I laughed a lot. And it's not like we had a choice but to make it home in some way.

I really like that non-writers can send feedback too.

I love that! And not only because I get more feedback, but because there's more feedback in general. Like rikes says in the comment below yours, you have to write feedback right after you read a story. I definitely have to, or I'll simply forget. Not even the tabs trick works with that many stories.

Wow, that's some crazy ice.

The new reader accounts for sesa are great, I've already feedbacked three times as many stories as last year. And I'm glad to hear they're working for you as well! I think it's important to feedback as you read, not weeks after it.

Happy new year Mira! :)

It was really crazy. Luckily that kind of thing doesn't happen often, the last time it did, I was still in elementary school.

I think it's important to feedback as you read, not weeks after it.

I think so, too! If I don't send feedback right away, I never remember to do it later. There are some tricks I use nowadays, like leaving tabs open for stories that I want to give feedback for but haven't yet, but even that method does have limits.

And happy new year to you, too!

There was a very memorable occasion when we had Blitzeis like that. It was on a Thursday morning, the fog froze within minutes and I had to go to school, because I had a very important test in the first class. I was half an hour late and still had to do the test.

Aw, that's so mean. Were you at least given that half hour extra at the end?

I can only remember one time when we had that situation, and I was still in elementary school back then. It does get icy in winter sometimes, but never so bad that you can't even cross the street, never mind drive a car up (or even down) the hill.

As far as I remember I didn't. But it wasn't too bad, because it was an English test and I was fast enough to complete everything in the 15 minutes I had. Heh.

It sounds like you really celebrated the New Year ;-)

Your walk home sounds both hilarious and slightly scary.

I LOVE that you can send feedback right away now, I never got round to it after the reveals last year and I'm sure most people are the same as me.

Happy New Year!!

Hee, I did.

Your walk home sounds both hilarious and slightly scary.

It was pretty hilarious, I laughed a lot. But it's also not an experience I want to repeat.

I LOVE that you can send feedback right away now

Me, too, and not only for the obvious reason that I get more feedback. I think it's a truly great idea, because it's much easier to send feedback right away than wait for a week. And then you'd even have to write an e-mail, which for most people (including me) still seems to be much more of an effort than writing a quick comment.

And a happy new year back to you! :D

I didn't mind watching you sleep on the couch! It was fun listening to you snore ;) .

Oh, and you have a cellphone of your own now? So that's why you send me a SMS a few days ago. Cool!

Ha ha.

No, I don't really have a cell phone. It's still just the one my parents make me drag along with me, just a new actual phone. I don't think I'll use it any more often than the old one (so almost never) but I was just updating the address book and thought I would write you a quick message. :)
