On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

I agree: President Obama has a lot of challenges ahead of him, and expectations are very high. I'm still in the happy, hopeful place, though. He's going to make mistakes, and do things that I don't agree with, and sometimes he's going to do that politician obfuscation thing, but I feel energized by this change in a way that I haven't in a while, and, for the moment at least, still more excited than scared by the prospect of what's to come.
