I hope they don't screw up the bisexuality angle but seeing as the premise of the show is Doctors Behaving More Stupidly Each Season, I will try to cross my fingers LOL Sometimes I hate watching that show, because I have the urge to strangle someone LOL
Yay writing indeed! Now I just have to get up the nerve to actually type up the latest pages and keep working on it.
I really hope they don't screw up the bisexuality angle, too. It would be so damn nice for a change. Although you're not kidding about the real premise of GA being Doctors Behaving More Stupidly Each Season -- hee! I swear, I got sucked into this show about a year ago, god knows why (no, that's not true, I know exactly why; hello, JDM as Denny Duquette!), and like I said in my post, it is LIKE CRACK. I keep watching even though I spend half my time arguing with the characters about why they're acting the way they are, and the other half arguing with myself about why I still have a season pass for this damn show.
I really like Erica and Callie together, you are right, they just seem to click and have mad chemistry.
You probably don't watch but Kevin and Scotty on Brothers and Sisters are a great couple. They have struggled to get where they are and Kevin still screws things up time to time.. but it has a real solid foundation and it has been great to watch them develop the relationship over the last 2 seasons.
Have a great time with Gin, it seems weird not to be joining you two.. but alas I will be sweating the following weekend in San Fran.
They really do have the most amazing chemistry, and I love the way they both light up when they're around each other. I really hope they get a good shot at making things work between them.
You're right; I haven't seen Brothers and Sisters, but I've read a little bit about the Kevin/Scotty relationship before. From that, and from how you describe it here, it sounds like it's a really well-done relationship, and it's nice that at least some shows are getting it right sometimes. I just really, really wish that it weren't such a rare thing.
I know! It'll be weird not having you here with us for me, too. You need to make the trip down again at some point so that we can go to the zoo again. (And so you can go kayaking with Gin, because as I'm sure you've heard, that's not happening with me. :-)
Wouldn't that be great? Bisexuality on TV not as curiosity or indecisiveness or whatever, but as an actual sexual identity? I don't watch Grey's, but on House they've established the bisexuality of one of his new fellows a few eps back, so we'll see how they are going to handle it. There's hope after all!
Also, I'm raising my coffee cup to the writing victory!
It would be great. I would *love* to see bisexuality acknowledged on TV as an actual, honest-to-God sexual identity, and not, like you say, as the result of curiosity or experimentation or someone not knowing what they want. It would be such a nice change, and it would be nice if we just saw more LGBT characters in general. So I'm really crossing my fingers for Callie and Erica.
Oh, and good for House, too! There really is hope. The only other instance of real canon bisexuality I can think of off the top of my head is when Bayliss came out as bi toward the end of Homicide; I just hope he's not alone for too much longer.
Thank you! I raise my coffee cup in return. I just hope I can keep going with it.
