In the comic Capote In Kansas, one writer tells Truman Capote he wrote six hundred words that day. Capote says he only wrote six, "but they were the right words."

♥ Capote in Kansas! I loved that comic. This bit of dialogue is so dead-on, too. I related to Capote very, very strongly in that scene.

...And it's something I should remind myself of. Quantity doesn't matter so much as whether or not they're the right words.

That's excellent! A good sentence is always something to celebrate, whether it comes by itself or with a bunch of others.

It *is* the start of a brand new week. I'm going to write now. (and why am i always so filled with fear about that?) Twitter me and let me know how things are going.

One sentence. Writing one good sentence is a good thing. I keep reminding myself of this.

And so far the week has not been horrendous. (I know, it's only early afternoon on Monday, but I'll take what I can get.) I hope you're doing good writing today -- I don't think Twitter is being cooperative.
