meme time!

I like this one a lot. Snagged from gin200168 and scarletts_awry:

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Some of you I don't know at all because I didn't friend you back (yet?). Perhaps you ( Read more... )

Hi. *waves*

I lurk. Mostly.

Also, I'm from Poland, and I spend most of my time studying English (philology studies) or teaching it (to a bunch of kids in a language school). I'm also completely addicted to coffee, have a tendency to crush on fictional characters (starting with Gilbert Blythe, ending with Don Flack, chronologically-wise), talk too much, too fast, and sometimes change languages in the middle of a sentence. I love bad puns. I have a labrador named Beckett who never listens to me and likes to chew on my shoes. At this very moment I'm procrastinating, and I should be writing my BA thesis.

And I love memes.

I lurk as well. Friended you because I enjoy your csi:ny reviews so very much. I like in the US on the east coast. Am currently in training as a veterinary technician at a local animal hospital. I work 4-5 days a week 7am to 6pm and don't have a lot of free time. But when I do have it, I enjoy scrapbooking, playing flute and piccolo, listening to all genre's of music (I am such a music freak- doesn't matter what it is or how old it is, I love it all!!) and enjoy watching TV. (mainly, csi:ny, private practice, EM:home edition, and reality tv/game shows)

Hiya! And thank you; I'm very glad you enjoy the reviews. I'm originally from the East Coast, now out on the West Coast (well, at this very moment I'm on the East Coast again, but in general it's the West), and I hear you on the lack of free time. I work about 45 to 50 hours a week, not counting commute time, and I'm pretty much ready to collapse by the time the weekend rolls around.

And I love music, too, as well as TV.

Hiya! Very nice to meet you.

I am similarly addicted to coffee, and Anne of Green Gables was one of my favorite books growing up. I absolutely understand having a crush on Gilbert Blythe. And Flack is, of course, similarly crush-worthy. And I love bad puns, too; I absolutely blame the various CSI shows for this.

I am also procrastinating like mad right now over various things I should be doing to get ready for the holiday, and memes are an *excellent* procrastination tool.

I apparently have a thing for obsessive computer games. I'm not talking WoW or Halo, more like Sudoku and this word association puzzle I just started that's making me tear my hair out.

Also, I'm a gamer and I play D&D on the weekends. very much with the fun. :)

Oh, man, Sudoku. And all sorts of puzzle games of that stripe. I will get completely obsessed with those and waste all kinds of time working on them, especially when they end up making me want to tear my hair out.

I've never played D&D, but I have friends who do, and it absolutely seems like the kind of thing I could get completely sucked into.

I do the washington post's sudoku puzzle daily and I generally have at least one magazine lying around. Do yourself a favor--do not open the game on my LJ now. It'll eat your brain.

I got into D&D because my husband plays and all our friends do, and I love it. We have a bunch of games going and that's usually where my Fridays and Saturdays go.

Long time lurker, at first because I loved your CSI:NY reviews so much, but now also because I've become very attached to your gorgeous writings.

I have an LJ account, but now I only use it in order to keep up with the journals of friends, and only three or four at that. I haven't made you a friend, per se, because I'm keeping my account inactive as it represents a part of myself that I would very much like to lay to rest. So, if and when I get round to making a new account, I'd love to become more of an active follower. But for a now, your advent calendar makes me endlessly happy. Especially when Stella and Mac come up in conjunction with each other in some shape or form.

That was more rambling than anything about myself though, so I'll say that I'm a Londoner, a reader of books and a CSI obsessive and that my birthday is on December 23rd.

Merry Christmas

Hannah

Hiya! Thank you for the kind words, and I'm really glad you enjoy my reviews and fic.

I definitely understand wanting to lay a part of yourself to rest. This is my first and only LJ account, but I've also felt the need to reinvent myself at times, or to put aside parts of my life that were no longer working for me or that I was no longer comfortable with. And if you do make a new account, I'd be very happy to see you around here with it.

I've also really been enjoying the Advent calendar, and I do love writing about Stella and Mac's relationship. They're so interesting and complex.

I'm a native New Yorker, I love reading, and CSI:NY is my favorite show.

Happy birthday and merry Christmas!

Cursing like a sailor is a fine, fine thing. As is use of the word "dude." It's a pleasingly versatile word.

I'm a lurker as well, but I adore your fic - personally, I think your CSI:NY fic is the best in the fandom.

About me - I have a St. Bernard dog that lives with me and my family. And three cats.

I also have a thing for good video games. I play them a lot. ^^

Hiya! And thank you for the kind words; I'm very glad you enjoy my fic.

St. Bernards are great dogs. And cats can be so much fun as pets.

I don't play video games much (the Sudoku-type games are a different story), but I always enjoy them when I do, and there are some gorgeous ones out there.
