OMG the tension in this is just amazing. Runs from the minute Mac hears about Louie until Danny's fingers close around Mac's at the end. Just amazing.

Thank you! Very glad you enjoyed this. This kind of constant tension between them fascinates me, as does the task of trying to sustain it throughout an entire story. I just kind of fell into writing this series, and it's also been interesting for me to see how it's evolved.
