How do you feel about Martha's mother? It seemed to me that she had a lot of hostility towards the Doctor from the moment she met him.....or rather, from the moment she laid eyes on him. Perhaps her divorce - her husband leaving her for a white woman - might have had something to do with it. Of course I'm just guessing.

I know bits and pieces of what's coming up, but I can't wait to see all the details of how everything plays out. It's going to be *so good*.

I am so gleeful at your love for this show.

Martha totally kicks ass in this episode. This episode also gets put into some very interesting perspective by the end of the season too. Watching it through that filter makes me love Martha all the more. I can have my love for her un-molested now.

Plus? Martha's fashion sense ROCKS!

This show fills me with such glee and love and *little cartoon hearts* dancing around my head, you have no idea.

...Okay, actually you probably do.

Martha is just...oh, wow. From little bits and pieces of what I know about how the season plays out, and more generally from the narrative structure of this episode, I got the sense that a lot of things we saw here were going to be significant later. And I really, really can't wait to see how Martha's story arc continues to play out. She's just so amazing.

And she does have the best fashion sense. I haven't yet seen her in one thing that wasn't completely gorgeous on her.

I'm so happy to have folks here to squee over this with. And soon there will be Torchwood too! Though, Torchwood should really happen before the last three eps of Doctor Who...stupid American networks.

Ooo...and there's an AWESOME ep that's the Doctor!lite (and Martha)ep, but it kicks but in soooo many ways. (Unless you really hate scary stuff.)

I'm babbling. Clearly I need sleep. But Doctor Who! FTW!!!

I'm so happy that I have people I can squee with over the show. It's just SO good, and I love it so much.

And Torchwood! Yes! I can't wait for that, either. The second it hits my programming guide, I'm adding a season pass for it. Can't can't can't wait.

I also can't wait for the episodes we're getting into now with DW. "42" this week, and then all the other good ones. And I am occasionally a big chicken about scary stuff (largely because I'm a liiiitle too suggestible sometimes), but I'm still looking forward to that ep, too. "Blink," right? Because that one got pimped to me, too. Hee.

Doctor FTW! Yay!

I fell in love with Martha right from the very beginning, too. She just clicked with me, very much the same way Stella clicked for me right from the start on NY. I haven't seen "Alias Smith & Jones" yet, but I've heard about the scene you mention, where she figures out about the windows not being airtight, and that's a great way of telegraphing her intelligence and ability to take action right off the bat. She does have brains, and what's important is that she's also not afraid to use them. (Again, much like Stella. Okay, clearly I have a type.)

I am really, really excited about the upcoming episodes. They all sound fabulous.
