Thank you very much. I was hoping that no one would suspect what was actually going on, so they could be surprised along with Sheppard. I am glad you liked the team dynamic.

Thank you so much for letting me know. I appreciate that very much.

Oooh, I'm glad it was a good surprise after all! I really liked that Sheppard's team got to pin on his eagles, & that O'Neill helped him feel connected to other worriers & doers in the past. ;-)

(BTW, if you ever write about Ronon's relationship with T'ealc I'd love to read that too.) Thanks for writing & sharing this.

Thank you...I am glad that you liked the story, and that it was a surprise, a good surprise, for you. I thought it was about time that our hero became a full-bird colonel.

What a great idea...a story about Teal'c and Ronon...I actually might be able to incorporate a little of that relationship into a story I'm writing for a bigbang challenge. I'll let you know...and I will see about a stand alone.

Thanks!!! And thanks for taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed the story. I really appreciate it.

Poor John, so much worry and what a well deserved reward. I reason O'Neill refused to allow the others to tell him. It was so much more meaningful than for just the usual 'surprise'. I loved that you used the full military ceremony rather than a brief 'here's your eagles, congradulations' type award. Beautifully written.

Thanks! I thought it was a travesty that after all Sheppard did, that he wasn't promoted to full colonel during the series. I really appreciate your comments.

Love the kitties in your icon; my two are sound asleep on the sofa next to me. Wish I had their life!!!

The kitties are my youngest in the background at 5 and my oldest at 16. You can't tell from the picture but my Siamese mix lost most of his tail to gangrene and has a damaged and paralyzed front leg although he doesn't let it slow him down. His previous owners refused to take him to the vet when he was injured by the fanbelt of a car. I took him and his mom away from them with threats of the cops if they didn't let me. They kept letting her have kittens then when they were weaned they would take and dump them beside a road somewhere. My goddaughter called me in tears when they did that to a litter right in front of her and that is when I took them. So far as I know Sulu is the only one of her kittens to survive. I lost his mom last year to cancer, she was 19. I adore my cats. Sulu loves to cuddle when I am sitting at the computer trying to read. I have been reading your stories most of the afternoon after one of them was being hunted for on Sgastoryfinders and have been thoroughly enjoying myself. You always have interesting twists in ( ... )

Oh, Sulu’s a doll and so are you for rescuing him and giving him a great life. I had a beautiful tiny black female named Uhura…umm…good minds think alike when it comes to naming kitties! She lived until she was 20. Your young one looks like a gray tabby, I have a gray tabby/Maine Coon mix…he’s about 17 pounds and is named Fox Mulder. The other one is a cream tabby and he is called Rusty Wallace (I have a lot of strange interests…scifi, ballet, music, art, writing, I make jewelry, and I’m a NASCAR fan, Rusty Wallace is my favorite driver.) They are 9 and 10 respectively. I love my boys…sometimes I threaten to trade them in for a dog, but I haven’t done that yet ( ... )
