As many, or maybe most, of you know Gretchen and I have had some rocky times over the last couple of years as we have both continued to grow and mature in ways that were unfathomable when we first met one another. Even though I have not been in touch with either of you in ages, I heard about your separation this week and have been struck with quite a lot of sadness about it -- you two made a remarkably good couple, one I thought would be "together forever." I wish and hope that both of you are making the best choices for yourselves and each other and have happy futures.
