The kittens all seem to consider popcorn kernels as legitimate prey. We are amusing ourselves (and keeping them out of the bowl) by handing each of them a kernel at a time. They carry the kernels away to various locations on the floor out of reach of one another, and eat them. And then come back for the next one.

Domestic bliss.

galadriel2006 and I have decided that life sucks and we hate it.

Therefore, we demand a refund.

Have you ever met anyone who was gruntled or combobulated? I think I might like to be combobulated, but I'm afraid it might be illegal ....

I ran some errands this afternoon -- oil change and car inspection, quick trip to Wally World, etc. And on the way home, right there on Northside Drive, I saw the first true, inarguable sign of impending spring. When I turned on the car to come home from work, and the radio came on, too, they were announcing a "winter weather alert."

Two things came to mind immediately:

1. I'd sort of noticed the winter weather, it being cold out, and with the snow falling as I walked across the parking lot.
