...because, somehow, we started talking about quantum physics a couple of weeks ago, and it's been a running thing ever since. then the other day he came to work and said that he'd meant to go to the library that day to get a book on qp, but he'd slept too late. he went downstairs thinking about it, and found his mom watching quantum leap. hehe ( Read more... )

Where do you work that quantum physics is a normal topic of conversation? Because that sounds like an awesome place to work!

oh. oh, no, honey. it's not a NORMAL topic of conversation, it's just been this running joke where they kinda make fun of me for even bringing it up. *grin* ed and i were talking about it in the shallowest kind of way, and although we came up with some great plotlines (i stopped altogether at one point and asked "how is it that you haven't written a book yet??"), we weren't getting too philosophical.

no, the "not at all unusual" part is where we go from talking about, say, nuclear warfare to tropical fish by way of the biography of dimebag darrell. or something like that. it's not really an awesome place to work (see previous entry where i bitch about concrete and dirt and noise), i just like my coworkers quite a bit.
