Christmas Party Halftime Report

Dec 10, 2006 14:14

I'm in my room as we have Christmas with the family. Hiding from them? Oh no... cooling off. I'm super pissed off. So it's better to be away from those people than to tell them off ( Read more... )

I would be pissed too. With the free haircuts, I could understand if they were exchanging services of some sort. (I cut your hair, you help paint my house, take care of my cat on vacation, etc.) But if they are doing nothing, not even offering something, I would get pissed ( ... )

Oi... they're all gone. Thank goodness.

Nah, it pisses my mom off too but she's too nice to say anything. It makes me angrier and then when we're alone I totally give her an earful. :) She's like this with everything, she can't go shopping without calling people and asking them if they need anything. She went on Friday and spent roughly $30 on stuff for her and $400 for other people. She says they'd "do it for her"... I've never seen 'em. Bastards.

No they didn't offer to pay because they don't know they were broken. See, the nephew would have had to have owned up to breaking them instead of having us discover our broken things. Even if he had, they wouldn't have paid. That's just the way this family is.

(facepalm for the very inconsiderate nephew ... and his even more inconsiderate parents. i mean, do they not discipline the kid? O.O)

*hugs*

Oh, you are definitely not a scrooge! I would be ticked off, too. And, you're up in your room, burning off your excess anger. If you were truly a "scrooge", you would be down with your family, spreading it around. ^.~

I hope you manage to get through it OK. *sends more hugs*

I survived! ^_^

They don't really discipline him, he's the baby and so funny and smart etc... etc... I've never seen these flashes of genius but I'm told it's there. Whatever...

The only relief I get is when I make smart-aleck back-handed comments to him which sound like me just being funny but I'm really being oh so serious. ^^ It gets me through my day...

I tried to post in your last entry about winning your wishlist cel. For some reason LJ wouldn't let me. Anyway, congrats on the great catch!

YAY! You made it through! Heh, heh. I had to laugh when you wrote about smart-aleck, back-handed comments -- sounds exactly like my "coping mechanism" for when I'm around certain family members. =P

And, thanks so much for the congrats on the cel win! *hugs*

I've been getting all kinds of weird error messages lately on LJ, too. I thought it was just me, so I'm glad to figure out it's not ... because it is totally weird. >.O
