In October of 2008 I had to go there for work-related reasons(monotonous NCAA seminars). Based on what I saw in the span of less than 72 hours, I would rather be forced to live in the following locations other than Detroit ( Read more... )

That's like saying "NJ doesn't give you AIDS, but these Herpes are more than a nice welcome gift!".

Stefan, don't visit "Central" Jersey. It's actually a death trap. That's why Cartographers have neglected to point it out on maps.

David I don't know what the fuck you're smoking this morning, but Central Jersey has the safest municipalities over both North AND South Jersey, and OH HEY, Camden and Newark aren't in Central Jersey. The only death trap around here is currently the multitude of potholes on Rt. 9 that I have to drive over every goddamn day.

tl;dr: Don't diss your home state boy, or I'll send Tina down there to mess you up.

What about Compton and Inglewood? You'd definitely have some weapons to choose from there.

Maybe Detroit should build some bike and walking paths. NJ's Sentators think it will fix Camden. So it should fix Detroit, right?

Detroit downtown looks like Hell in a handbasket. Even sadder is the fact that the only nice looking thing there is the CASINO where people gamble what little hope and/or dreams that they had away.

Strangely enough though, the suburban areas, figures aside, are still doing rather well.

All in all though, it is a sad state of affairs and you wouldn't catch me in that place unless I were visiting friends. Any thoughts on if they'll ever make it out of that rut?
