I'm surprised what a high proportion of hits for n-grams of the popular items there are splogs selling pharmaceuticals. Who knew spammers had such a penchant for Lovecraft? Nameless, cyclopean blasphemies lurking just beyond most people's awareness ... Hmm, maybe it makes sense.

I googled eldritch loathsome squamous and wonderfully found a David Langford Lovecraft parody:
