Okay, so, when I first started inching into fandom, I read some Gabriel/Sam stuff because it was all over the place--and then gave up on it pretty quick because it was all so generic. And then I got into the show proper and started steering very clear of it because it was all massively OOC.

This is neither generic nor OOC (though obviously heavier on the trickster/god side than archangel). Not sure I'll ever watch Gabriel's episodes quite the same way again, but that's probably a sign of good writing.

i really, really do not care for sabriel, at least in the sense that fandom tends to use it, so i am very glad to hear it was neither generic nor ooc <33

i think it can be a very interesting ship--when everyone is treated as themselves, instead of a side-ship for deancas or romantic goo that makes no sense. <3
