This is beautiful. I love how you call it low magic: the dirty magic, the kind that isn't about wonder more than strangeness and darkness. I really like the image of Rowena and the intense femininity of her on the field, a very old image of the witch on the moor, and how that complements Sam's thoughts of myth and magic, of wolf-siblings and sex and secrets. And ATMOSPHERE, jeez. <333
