I've exchanged contracts on a new house, and will (COVID-19 willing) be moving in on Monday! This is very pleasing after such a long delay - my offer was first accepted all the way back in January - but naturally it happens to fall on the first day of the new semester, so these are proving to be rather busy days ( Read more... )

Moving is awful for so many reasons, but at least packing will be an adventure!

Good luck with the move. The longer one lives in a house the more horrible is the thought of moving, but you seem to be finding some interesting items to amuse you during the packing.

Indeed he did. He was also heavily into the concert harp by this point. The Esperanto came just a little later, I think, and that was probably the ruling passion of his life.

Packing and packing is such a chore, but starting a new life in a new place is such an adventure! Good luck settling in.

One year; multiple worlds. That said, fifteen years later my grandfather was in Birmingham jail as a CO.
