ADMIN: Looking for new community maintainer/owner
Hello everyone
After four years, I have decided to resign from my position of community owner/moderator. My reasons are many, including a desire to simplify my online life. I also now live in TO territory and with all the craziness about him and the Bills, well, I'll have to take what games I can!
I began this community because I could not find another Steeler-orientated community on Live Journal. I've since learned there is another community, which has many more members including some of you. I guess the lack of 'interests' on the community's profile page hasn't stopped folks from finding them ;) Oh yeah, and they've been around a lot longer.
So, here's the deal:
Is there anyone here that would like to take over from me in running this community? There aren't many qualifications, really. And it wouldn't take much to do a better job than me! If you've had experience modding other communities, that would be a plus, although it's definitely not essential. I might remain a member, but I'll stay out of management decisions unless I'm specifically asked so there is no need to worry about that.
If you're interested, please respond with a comment to this post. I'll screen all the comments, unless they aren't job applications.
If no one steps forward by Friday, September 4, I'll probably end up closing and deleting the community. It'll be a little sad if it comes to that, but I know you'll be able to go elsewhere for your Steelers fix on Live Journal. I will make a post in advance of closure and point you in the other community's direction if this happens.
Thanks to everyone who has participated in the community over the past four years. A community cannot be a community if people don't take part.
