The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Read them all and they're great! Full of action, likeable characters, a good story and some romance. :)

Really? These days, I just don't trust popular YA lit ever since Twatlight came along. Ugh... Miss Meier has totally ruined the YA genre for me.
