Date with Alcuin

He'd even made an envelope carefully folded out of a bit of paper.

Giles had managed to sort himself into some kind of casual as well; perfectly pressed trousers, god knew it'd taken him some time to work out how to rig that, and his shirt that'd long since lost its starch. He was barefoot, too, never having really understood the point of shoes on the beach.

When Alcuin drifted off, he allowed himself to mentally drift as well, for a while; it wasn't until he could feel himself losing sensation in his arm that he finally, regretfully shifted. Most everything was packed up in the basket already, so he decided to leave it there while he got Alcuin home.

It wasn't as if theft was a huge problem, after all.

He gently eased himself out from under Alcuin and after a brief debate decided to try to avoid waking him. He lifted him carefully, letting him curl close. It wasn't until he got to the door that he realized he hadn't thought this through. Getting inside would be difficult.

He hoped he wasn't waking anyone up as he tapped on the door with his foot.
