Yuffie was practically twitching with nervous energy as she walked down the hall.

It was one thing to know someone was going into therapy. It was another to hear about private "chats" with the doctors. Those...those didn't turn out well. They didn't. And it made Yuffie nervous as hell to think that Edgey was the person going to face that. And then there was Nami. Stuck with Paul and Gary of all people.

Between the state of her friends, and her visit to see Yoite this morning....Well, saying she had a lot on her mind was an absolute understatement. A distraction would be VERY nice right about now.

She knocked on the cell door before she opened it, trying her best to act normal and smile. The smile did turn very real seeing him waiting for her, she liked the bright color in the middle of all the dark.

"Grell? Ready to go?"

A small gasp of surprise.
"I knew it!" Laughing brightly, Grell rushed to her and drew her into his arms. "I knew you were going to be just as beautiful as your voice!"

Somewhere in the dark of the room he knew Hisoka was rolling his eyes. Grell's words were far from logical- how could anyone judge an outward appearance by their voice? But Grell was convinced he could and he'd been right two for two so far.

"You're so pretty Miss Yuffie," the redhead complimented, still holding her close, "like a maiden from the Orient. You ought to be dressed in handpainted silks."

He stepped away though he gently cupped his hand around hers.
"Alright, lead the way!"

It wasn't often someone managed to get in Yuffie's personal space before she got in theirs. But then again, it wasn't often that someone had less tact with it then she did. It made her jump in surprise (Damn. She was more tense then she thought....), but realizing that it was just a hug she quickly relaxed.

The complement was nice, very nice actually. She laughed out loud for the first real time in what felt like a long time (it couldn't be that long, could it?), and she didn't think it was a good time to bring up the fact that yes, she wore them, but no, she didn't actually like them. Formal clothing was difficult.

"Why thank you!" She said brightly, it wasn't hard to fake cheer (To even really be a little cheerful, even though it seemed like a very very bad time.) when someone else was being so infectious with their energy. It was nice. And a very big change from the gloomy state everything had been in ( ... )

He rarely wandered out this far, sticking to what he knew lest he overstep his bounds as a cheery patient. The dismal library was avoided, only visited whenever Grell finished writing out another Shakespearean play for others to read. Mainly he popped by to visit other fellow patients and sit in their cells for chatter.

It was a nice change though, he had to admit, as he walked with Yuffie. The Solarium he had seen...once, perhaps and the quiet suddenly brought with it a bout of homesickness. No voices echoing in the confines of his cell to distract him. Just sunlight through the windows and a gentle calm atmosphere much like the tea rooms in England.

"It's perfect, Miss Yuffie." Grell's smile wavered for just a moment, and he realized he ached for the familiarity of London. "It's...a little slice of home ( ... )

"You're welcome." Yuffie couldn't stop the little swell of pride at seeing Grell's reaction. Even if she couldn't help her friends right now...She could help somebody.

It was a pleasant surprise to be treated like a kind of court lady. She couldn't remember the last time she'd been treated like that. And no matter what anyone, including herself, said, she was still something of a spoiled little girl at heart. Though she was often the last to say it was any different...She knew how selfish she was. Lying to herself about it did her no good.

"Actually? Yeah. It kinda does." Yuffie still felt, and sounded, very tired. But she felt a bit more like herself on a certain level. Being serious constantly had never really suited her, and it was nice to not have to be. Even if she still had that filter of her intuition screaming wrongbadwrong in the back of her mind like a siren. She'd promised she wouldn't do anything, and she would keep that.

"So," The girl said with a grin as she picked up a cookie. "What would you like to talk about~"

Of course he would treat her like a lady, he had worked undercover as a butler afterall and Grell was also of the mind that ladies needed to be spoiled.

He took the first tentative sip of his tea and all but melted. A content sigh before a smile rested on his lips.
"Nothing like tea and company." Also plucking a cookie from the plate, the Reaper displayed rows of sharp teeth as he munched the treat effortlessly. Aside from tea, he had also missed the sweets that usually accompanied it.

"You're troubled and I find if you talk about it, it'll lessen the burden."

She fought a laugh for a moment as she remembered Cid's opinion on tea and company...For all of his grumbling, she missed the stupid pilot. Even if the airships made her sick and he rarely left them unless bribed any more. Like she was born to be a ninja, Cid was born to fly.

Fidgeting with the cup for a moment, she thought about the idea of talking some of this mess over. And...it was a mess. She wasn't very good at the whole dumping her problems on someone else thing. Okay, aside from people like Aerith or Reeve...but they were sort of exceptions to the rule instead of the norm.

"I guess..." She started, watching the tea slosh around for a moment before taking a drink, "I kinda don't even know where to start. It's all...Complicated would actually be the understatement from hell in this situation."

Grell could listen, why yes he could indeed. Listening to a mortal pour his or her heart out was always fascinating for the Reaper. A hundred turns of Life's cycle and humans, he concluded, were all the same. Change a few details, but the basic troubles were the same.

Could this place finally be different? Well, he longed to find out.
"Usually starting at the beginning is the best bet." Grell giggled, reaching over to place his hand warmly over hers. "You don't need to tell me everything if you don't want, just what really weighs down your heart."

What really weighed down her heart...She thought about it. Really. It was rare that she even considered talking like this. But the stress was sort of getting to her and it couldn't hurt...right? Grell was really nice, odd ( though she wasn't exactly a model of normalcy, even on her own world), but nice. And he seemed honestly interested and...well...dumping her problems on Reeve or Edgey or Jack or Nami didn't seem like a good idea right now.

"Okay..." Yuffie started a little unsure, looking at his hand instead of at him. "Okay...Uh...I kinda...I screwed up really bad. Like decided I was a liability and took away my powers bad....Something like that."

He gave her hand a gentle squeeze to reassure her he was listening. Yes, he would honestly lend her an ear because there was...something about the weight on her shoulders. Something so wrong it felt tangible even without his Reaper powers. He wanted to know.

"So you made a mistake." Grell shrugged. "People make mistakes, little ones all the time and sometimes really big ones. I made a really big mistake before I found myself here."

He wouldn't elaborate just yet. This was about Yuffie afterall.
"But what do you mean..took away your powers?"
