Kagari almost wondered if this had all been the Director's doing. It made perfect sense and yet, it didn't. He liked to play games involving the Sekirei and their abilities. Not beat his game pieces down to nothing and terrify them. All flash an grandeur, with very common sense in his thick, arrogant skull - that was the Director of the Sekirei plan ( ... )

At first, Huey only looked up when Kagari entered, without moving, without the expression on his face changing. A long moment and a long look from his single yellow eye, all passive and vaguely interested - and then he finally showed a reaction. He didn't smile when he stood up, only to acknowledge her arrival, but he offered her a nod instead, before he sat down again.

"Miss Kagari. I'm glad you came here without resisting, after all."

There wasn't even a smile in his voice, or anything else. He intentionally kept his expressions neutral, his looks discrete and just long enough to give a hint of concern. Thankfully, for his plots, whether or not he actually felt anything (and most of the time, he didn't) had little to no impact on the expressions he had learnt to let his face and body language show.

For now, he pointed at the tea pot and cup on the desk. "We have a lot to discuss. Would you like something to drink?"

She had dealt with emotionless doctors and humans who viewed her as less than an animal. It was partly true, Sekirei could become whatever their masters wished. Kagari sat up ramrod straight in the chair. "You wouldn't have given me the choice to refuse."

She was sure of that. It was never about what the subject wanted. She flicked her red gaze to the tea yet her hand made no move towards it. "What's in it?"

On the bright side, there wasn't over technology in the room. The dangers of being genetically altered further seemed null for the moment. Kagari didn't trust it to remain that way. "I don't agree with you but, this was never about what I wanted was it?"

"And you had the common sense to understand that," Huey finished for her after Kagari fell silent, however without provocation. But he interrupted his explanation in order to follow her look, and finally smiled, weakly.

"Tea," he replied calmly. "Black tea. If you are afraid to try it, I will test it for you."

Then he looked back at Kagari, and the seriousness returned to his expression. This time, however, he held her look.

"Your file indicates that you are suffering from a disorder of your gender perception. You think you are a man, is that true?"
