Shocking as it might have been, Cross actually showed up in the designated place, more or less on time. He was a minute or seven late, as per the norm, but there he was there all the same.

Thankfully, the place was quiet enough, considering it was a recreational period. The General stood in the doorway to the room, eyes closing momentarily as he breathed a quiet sigh. His head still endlessly ached and he felt a tad woozy, but whatever. He'd been through worse, right? Maybe he could finally enjoy the setting and relax a little, while he was here. Before he threw himself back out in to the snake pit and all.

Somewhat reassured by his thoughts, he trudged on in, hunting down whatever cushy chair Komui was camped out in. He approached said chair, giving the side of it a light kick after stuffing his hands in the pockets of his ragged, institute-issed pants. "Yo."

Unbeknownst to Komui, Sokaro had been lurking behind some conveniently placed furniture and had sneaked up on him the moment he took a seat with his back facing Sokaro's hiding spot, and was currently positively looming behind the other. Grinning at Cross, he brought his index finger to his lips in a shushing motion, then motioned slightly to where their beloved Supervisor was sitting. A moment after that, he knelt down with surprising fluidity for someone of his stature, the air around him neglecting to stir at all as he dropped to the floor and crouched down on his elbows and knees.

Another moment later, a broad, sinewy hand clamped around Komui's ankle without any warning at all.

"Oh, General! Y--"

Whatever infinitely witty greeting Komui had been about to bestow on Cross vanished from his head a second later as he gave a faint yelp, half-starting out of his chair.

"Wh--" Funny, he could see part of a rather familiar-looking uniformed boot from the corner of his eye. "Sokaro!? What are you-- Ah--..." He tried to coax his pained grimace into an expression of irritation as he settled back down into his seat, clutching his side just a little. Sudden movements were still not a good idea right at the moment.

"How long have you been there exactly, General Sokaro?" he wondered with gritted teeth, brow furrowing in exasperation as he pushed skewed glasses back up his nose by the bridge. "You two are going to make me feel ganged-up on at this rate."

During a quick visual sweep of the room, Cross caught sight of Sokaro, only acknowledging his existance by the faintest, barely noticable quirks of his exposed eyebrow. Had he felt like raining on the other man's parade, he could have easily called him out, but he wanted to know what his fellow General had up his sleeve.

...And it was worth it, however immature the prank was. Cross gave a raspy chuckle at Komui's startled response-- one that soon tapered off in to a short bout of rattled coughs, causing him to duck-and-turn his head for the duration thereof.

Christ.

He opted out of speaking this go-around, and instead managed a brief half-smirk in Komui's direction before he shuffled off to the side, picking out a nearby plush-looking chair for himself. Why the hell should Komui get all the comfort, hey?

"Aww, Super, if you don't feel ganged up on yet, we're clearly not trying ha--" Sokaro began, but then cut himself off as the vague nagging sensation that there was something off-kilter about the world just then took sudden shape.

"Mary?" he called aloud, effectively ignoring everything Komui had said to him just then as he got a good look at his fellow General for the first time since they arrived here. "You look like fucking hell. What the fuck happened to your skanky ass?" Though his words were biting, there was genuine worry in his eyes, expression set in something like a deep scowl.
