Impossible, maybe. Another patient-- La-Ahad willingly being hurt? Was it that other one, who had recently arrived from the same place? The two were obviously together - creed, job, arguments, neat computer-print notes in a classical paper binding - so it was possible. But, no. That wouldn't have made any sense.
And yet. The other one had been silent on the topic (a blessing?). Something was off - which was in itself a fairly useless thought to have, because of course something was off, something was always off, and he led the way to the familiar room, up the rickety stairs and down the hallway, keys in hand only when he was actually in front of the door. The nurse - Konishi, if he recalled correctly, and he did - seemed like a respectable enough one, one that he'd personally heard monitoring the intercoms as well. Good. He wasn't sure what another Kojiro Sasaki would have done to St. Edelweiss.
