My family has taught me that, at least.

Next month is the Day of Remembrance.

We remember those who are killed by direct violence.

We forget about those of us who kill themselves, are castoff, left to fend for themselves, die of disease because of who they are.

Yet, they are still victims of society and they far outnumber those direct acts of violence.

Unfortunately, I have no idea. I haven't heard from him so I don't know if he's even around still. :(

Another bit of news... I went to a support group meeting with a friend of mine last night which I had not been to in a few years. A regular in that group may have been murdered. The police are handling it as such until they have proof otherwise.
