did you get wet at Stonehenge on the solstice? The Beeb had pictures of a sea of people in raincoats and ponchos and umbrellas, for the second year in a row apparently.
re: travelogue -- could I make a request/suggestion? do it in little bits and post the fragments. It's less intimidatingly huge, each chunk won't take much time, and we get to see stuff sooner. (you may notice that jwg is doing the same, multiple little anecdotes, of their recent safari to equatorial africa)

Owing to travel and time constraints, we chose to give Stonehenge a miss. Based on 4 reports prior to the event, and 1 report from someone who was there for the event, it was a wise decision on our part.
You're right -- it'll be far more coherent in small doses. I'll go day-by-day.
