There was actual plot and perfect characterisation, so really well done there.
I really enjoyed the whole fic; I was going to highlight a favourite line but everything was so brilliant I couldn't choose.

See you sneaked in whilst my back was turned. *g*
Lovely writing, as always from you.

LOL, yers, but what would SAB have said? Obviously I didn't quite have the nerve to beg you for a beta. And it's been so long since I LJ'd I actually couldn't work the frickin' thing.
Guessed that you were still much with the Sam and Dean love. We must take our eye candy where we can...Gonna send longer, private email since much serious catching up needed.(And I've missed you!) XXXA

Arthur is never a complete prat. He does something jerkish, and then he redeems himself with small acts of kindness!
At this, Uther gives a sudden choking sound and gathers his son to him, smoothing back the ruffled hair and pressing a kiss to his brow.
Oh, lovely. Uther does have a heart!
Also, he seems to have set the tree on fire
LOL! A lovely bite of humour in a serious scene.
I think some insolent servant-type has been sleeping there-in his boots!”
Aww...Arthur doesn't mind Merlin in his bed really.
Althogether brilliant. Thank you.
