There's really no question about what to do right now. He picks up the phone and presses the button to re-dial. This is fast turning into a bad, bad day, and Simon abhors and loathes bad days.

It's amazing how instant his reaction is, even if it's not noticed on the other end. That smile, the one that usually inspires much of the same form to whoever may be on the receiving end, vanishes within the blink of an eye. His casual fidgeting, the taptaptapping of the dresser top with a poker chip, silences from the world. And that calm and relaxed mind of the dear man reels with records of witnessing the missing pair last, of contacts he'll call right after this, of solutions to this problem.
Both the boys are not the kind to really disappear like that. And if Mr. Hansen is calling out the bloodhounds, then this is more serious than he would initially expect.
"Mister Hansen, as an adult that works with scarcely seen youths on a regular basis, I think we should take a step back to cover a few bases." The straight path of a well trained thinker. You don't panic and you assume the worst of the best case scenario. "Can you remember where the boys were when you last knew of their whereabouts?"
