I've signed up, but have no clue what I'm actually writing. It'll likely be one of the following: Kirk as a tarot reader and psychic, or Amanda/Winona being teenage lesbian lovers, or some random mission fic. (Oh yeah, and I wanna write uber-plotty Chapel/Uhura fic like burning.)

I'm strangely optimistic, but it's probably misplaced, considering I'm modding my own big bang this year and doing two others, whut.

Bring on the coffee!

I think we're attitude twins. I have NO idea what I'm going to write, which is new to me, and yet I feel optimistic. XD Good luck!

Lolol, well... yeah. I can see you have experience in these things! :D

Hhh, meanwhile, I still have a Reversebang to force myself to finish!

I haven't signed up yet. I want to, but I'm still debating.

I wouldn't be able to start writing until at least late next month, because this month I'm spending on ksbigbang. Then in two weeks I'm leaving for Africa, where I'm working this summer -- I'm only getting back into the US about a week before rough drafts are due. I will have my computer, but probably not very much internet (which is probably a good thing for making me write, at least) and who knows how much free time.

I do have an idea, which I think would probably not stretch much beyond 20k. I think probably what I'm going to do is just wait and see. Deadlines for writer sign-ups aren't until July 1. That gives me both time to finish my ksbigbang and time to settle into Africa and see how feasible writing a big bang would be. :p

Waiting isn't a bad idea, but I'm sure you can manage both. :)

I... have no idea if I'm doing STBB this year. I would feel terrible--I've done three now! I've done one every year since the last movie! It's only one more BB before the movie!--but I just don't quite know what to write! I know that if I put myself to it, I'd come up with something, but I think I'm going to take a few days to think if it's feasible this year.

I feel ya! This is one of my favorite big bangs, so it feels like a shame not to participate. Kind of a yearly ritual.

Good luck with thinking on an idea! You do have until July 1st to come up with one. :)

I signed up without ANY clue what to write. I'm debating using my NaNo from 2010 which still isn't finished. It's at about 85k, and I think there are at least 50k left before it will be finished. But is it cruel and unusual to give my potential artist and mixer a story that may potentially (knowing me) reach over 150k?

yes and also hilarious which is precisely why you should do it.

Omg, denying the world a 150k fic is a crime against humanity, really. Look at it that way and finish.

That said, I still have a 98k from last year in the editing stages, sooooooo.... not really one to talk.

Lolol, well.. that's definitely a good way to look at it! XD

Also, loooool. But I understand. I still have unfinished fic from when Superman Returns came out. Children have been born, and advanced to FIRST GRADE since then... O_O
