Yeah, I think that describes me, and a bitter gif (if I had one)
I have been avoiding fics that deal with the episode, in fact I want to pretend the episode didn't happen and Uther is alive. I don't even now if I'll watch Merlin, especially if the rumors about Gaius dying this season are true. I don't think I can take my two favorite characters dying in the same season :S
I've been working semi-seriously at continuing my two shorter, fluffier Uther fics with actual plots (silly plots, obvs). But maybe I could write a ficlet for you. What kind of story would make you happy right now? Chances are, it would make me happy too. :)
I'm going to be really unhappy if they kill Gaius. They're seriously like two characters away from turning the show into an inexplicably PG-rated gay porno. It's not that I don't like beautiful boys, it's just that I like other kinds of people as well. >_>
Anything that doesn't fit canon, if you could write Uther/Morgana that would be awesome too :)
I will read the fic when I feel a bit better *nods*

LOL about the porno thing XD
I know what you mean, I like shows that have several generations in them, it just makes it more realistic (although Merlin can't really do realistic :P)
I think my biggest issue with the show is their need to keep it PG, don't they know that only Disney can turn mature stories into PG well?
It's a bit dark and only Uther/Morgana flavored, but it does have an optimistic ending. I can't write Uther and Morgana without having them clash (that's what I love about them), but I also can't write them without some amount of reconciliation. My soppy heart just can't take it! ;_;
I tried writing a review for TWD. I COULDN'T. I mean, the episode was just amazing, but it was so terrible all at the same time. How dare they take him from me?! My favourite terrible father, murderous husband, sorcerer- burning King, horrible boss, crazed old man, glove fanatic, paternity denier... Beloved Baddie. <3

Aww, that's almost a poem, or at least a card. I kind of want to take it into Photoshop and make it a banner. ^.^
Because don't you dare think some stupid depression/craziness can keep Uther Pendragon from saving his son!
Oh, HELL to the no it will not! I liked that too. <3
When a character I love dies (happens all the time because I love the dastardly ones), I always tell myself that only means their story doesn't continue, not that there's no more to it. There are plenty of Uther stories, they just don't take place after 4x03! *decisive nod*
Your criticisms of Gaius are well taken. I do think they're well on track to Merlin losing Gaius as a mentor already. Merlin has outgrown him, in the same way Arthur outgrew Uther (even if he was less willing to admit it). Still, I'd rather have Gaius better written than dead. :'(

I have read this one fic, it's from Morgana's POV and it expands on the scene where she finds out that Uther is dead http://evasearchin.livejournal.com/50711.html#cutid1

That was a sweet fic, thanks for the rec. I have one for you too, whenever you're in the mood for a post-4x03 fic. It's an Uther/Gaius!

So it is written, so it is done.
