Hey, a pal of mine bought me a paid livejournal subscription!

Yay!

I need to use LJ more, especially since I can post by e-mail now!

I never know whether to publicly acknowledge his generosity. I'd like to, but what if he didn't buy the same thing for every one of his friends and acquaintances? Will some of them feel slighted?

Nah, I don't think most people are the type to feel slighted when they see random acts of kindness to other people. Personally, it makes me feel good, and start thinking about whether there are any I can perform myself. :-)
