When: Once the Master Emerald was returned to its rightful place
Summary: Knuckles is guarding the Emerald again, trying to figure out his phone as an old friend comes to visit?

As requested, Mighty had decided to go see his old friend. He was a little apprehensive - he didn't know quite to expect. It had been a while, but it wasn't like Knuckles was unfriendly...

He was probably just over-thinking it.

It didn't take him long to find Angel Island. It seemed smaller than before, somehow - but it had been a while. And the Master Emerald was visible - in a shrine, specifically. And then -- a gleam of red!

"Knuckles?"

Perking up at his name, Knuckles looked over... seeing the familiar armadillo walk up... the echidna couldnt help but... smile? It had been too long since he had seen Mighty.... and, yeah, maybe a part of him worried what came of him. Mighty seemed to have separated himself from the other Chaotix, and he wanted to know why.... but... he figured his old friend would tell him on his own time.

"Mighty!" Knuckles stood up, giving him a welcoming nod. "Wow, it really is you!"

Mighty took a minute to glance around before looking back at him. When the echidna smiled, Mighty did too - and relaxed a little. It didn't look like it would be awkward.

"Yeah, it's been a while, hasn't it? It's good to see you."

The echidna motioned him over, sitting down at the temple steps. "...Take a load off." He gave his friend a nod, relaxing a bit. "...I'm not going to ask where you've been... or why you left... I mean... I'm sure you have your reasons." He shrugged. "Its just good to see you again. How about dropping a line every once and a while if you decide to up and leave?" He gave the armadillo a grin. "Not that... its easy to send messages to the island."
