It's ok. It's a chiastic rhyme. Very elegant.

I'm sorry about your bird. :(

I'm sorry about your bird.

I just found a bird today and couldn't resist it's cries for help either. Luckily I found the nest and learned that birds won't reject babies touched like humans like I previously thought (thanks wildlife protection people!) and so now it's back home. I hope it thrives. It's two bigger siblings seem to be pushing it out of the nest. :(

They be doing just that... pushing the smaller one out the nest is common.
But you were good to set it back in the nest.
It's probably telling it's befuddled siblings about the giant that helped it, and not to mess with him cause he'll call his helpers again...
Yay Giant Lomer!

*g* It's definitely been an interesting and educational day. Poor little bird.

Upon checking on the birds again I discovered the siblings pushed him out AGAIN. Luckily I built another nest out of the top of an egg carton with holes for ventelation. I put it under the natural nest and read that often parents will take care of two nests if one gets over crowded. I find that not only has my little nestling been pushed out, but luckily he fell right into my nest. Hopefully the parents will take care of him and he'll still be alive tomorrow. I also hope that him having his own space will allow him to grow as big as the siblings who have obviously been hogging all the food.

:( That sucks. Yeah, the unsuccessful rescues do seem to be many, don't they? I'll never forget my lil baby Peanut, a rescued baby mouse from someone's basement that I syringe-fed for 5 days. *sniff* He was the cutest thing ever...fuzzy and wide-eyed and oh-so-happy when I let him play with my pet ratties.

Oh...that's sad! at least the birdie had some love instead of going it alone!
