I just read that Andrew Lloyd Webber has been diagnosed with cancer while prepping his sequel to Phantom of the Opera, and I'm not sure which part of that sentence is more distressing.

Seriously, I do think there could be some ground to explore with OG after he leaves the OH, but Christine and Raoul's story is done (except for the part where they inevitably discover that "Remember when we were like toddlers and we played together?" is not the best basis for a grown-up relationship and the bitter divorce, but that's not the best grounds for musical theater). Bringing them all back together just makes it clear that he's just rehashing old ground and doesn't actually have an idea that demands being produced.
