Ahhh rants. I suppose I should not have said "Visually pleasing Since there is plenty of art that is not visually pleasing but yet it's still art. I agree that writing and poetry is classified as an "art". But if you were to describe Shakespeare would you say, "Shakespeare was a great artist"? or would you say "Shakespeare was a great writer ( Read more... )

thanks for representin my poetry yo. also i admit i got offended for like a mili-second when i read your rant (the first time i read it) but that was cause i was reading it wrong. i quickly realized what you meant and took no offense to it. it's one of those grey areas. it's like the argument that there should be more than one word for love. there are so many different kinds of love. do i love my dog the same as i love my lover? do i love my car the same as i love my parents? do i love my favorite book the same as i love my best friend? the conclusion i come to after reading all 30-something of those comments is that there simply aren't enough words in the english language.

good stuff though really. i enjoyed all of it.
