I'm not sure if its tick tock in this town or in this time...
but I would say its "when i'm dropping a rhyme" it would make more sense to me

I've seen versions like "before you take my grace away" but if you compare it to the "before" in the travolta line it sounds so different.

"I sugest that you rest, rest" or something that ends with 'est'
