HELLO STARWHALIANS. It is December 25th, which means Christmas for those who celebrate it and far more importantly, of course, the Doctor Who Christmas special!
lol I totally was a few times I won't lie. I would never try to argue that it was what Moffat had in mind when he wrote the lines, but it was what I thought of.
ALL OF THE LOL-DOCTOR-YOU'RE-CHANGING-THE-RULES-AGAIN STUFF ASIDE, I THROUGHLY ENJOYED MYSELF. THIS IS PARTLY BECAUSE MY BROTHER (NEW WHOVIAN) AND DAD (USED TO WATCH AS A KID) ENJOYED IT, AND MOM SAT THERE GOING "WTF" PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE TIME.
Each time I see Eleven, I remember that, yes, I do in fact love him. There were so many quotable lines from this! And more than once I slapped my brother and we simply panicked because OH THAT WAS SOO ROSE BEING TALKED ABOUT THERE HI! Nothing can convince me otherwise.
Also, the Ponds are growing on me. My casual acceptance has bumped up a notch or two. IS SEASON 6 HERE YET?
And more than once I slapped my brother and we simply panicked because OH THAT WAS SOO ROSE BEING TALKED ABOUT THERE HI! Nothing can convince me otherwise. YES. TRUTH.
I was also amused by that bit where the Doctor channeled Sherlock. I caught that, too! I was wondering if Moffat forgot what show he was writing for a second. Then I wondered if we could get some Martin Freeman in this ep.
I liked the episode a lot, but the hugging totally crossed a plot hole/believability line for me. Even for Who. I mean, the Nazgul time disinfectant things showed up for far less than paradoxical hugging. The universe should torn in two by now.

I agree, someone was pointing out that when Rose touched the baby that point in time was already weakened by previous things, but the touching still should have done some weakening in of itself....I feel it was just unnecessary, they could have gotten the same point across without ruining the moment with a big plot hole--Dumbledore could have leaned in arms wide for a hug and Eleven could have stopped him with a funny "Don't touch the baby boy! Trust me on this one..."
