I had recently made a business trip with friends who used a GPS, but kept arguing with 'Garmina'; the friends wanted to use the less-traveled roads, and Garmina kept trying to send us to the Interstate. When the call went out that one of our fandom could use some emotional support (stories, manips, vids), this idea seemed tailor-made to craft a light-hearted story.

I like this story, and am glad no one was hurt.

I have seen some funny directions with Garmin, but they are usually with roads in proximity but separated by barriers (and they generally do not consider construction closings).

Thank you. I was trying for 'amusing', and that wouldn't work if there were injured people around.

Ours was mostly telling us to turn way too soon in the city; if we'd obeyed instantly, we'd have jumped the curb and hit a building like this guy.

But one of my friends suggested I Google "GPS + Accident". I did, and it's amazing how stupid some people can be.
