Impatient plot-bunnies

I think everyone is aware that my fic-writing is sporadic, at best. I can't write in bits and pieces; I need a large block of time (two hours minimum, but three is better), preferably at the local pizza joint. That means that my writing opportunities are effectively reduced to weekends. But, real life being what it is - homework, housework, ( Read more... )

That's the problem with bunnies - ignore them, they go 'play' by themselves, and before you know, you're knee deep in baby bunnies...

Intellectually I knew that, but I haven't had much of a problem with it before. Maybe the coyotes that live around here are getting lazy...

That's why I'm looking forward to this story... but not right this minute, you know? Maybe I should start a countdown -- 19 days until I can start writing...

I flashed on a vision of Blair Sandburg -- younger than we know him now, hair loose and curly around his shoulders, dressed in tight-fitting jeans and a loose, gauzy white shirt with billowing sleeves and a deep V-neck that shows off his chest hair. He's in a -- night club(?). (I know so little about dating/dancing, what style, what venue -- I'll have to ask someone what's right.) Anyway, he's having a high old time, enjoying the music and atmosphere and movement, dancing with anyone who asks -- man or woman, he doesn't care, he just wants to dance. This description reminds me of Yvonne McCool's Cheyenne series. Someone did a picture for the story, and this is exactly what Blair is wearing. Was it TACS that did it? I've got the picture somewhere, if you're interested I can scan it in, and send it to you. The story is different; Blair's undercover as an exotic dancer named Cheyenne and ends up in a three way with Simon and Jim. The story was a WIP back in '97, and most fans couldn't wait for the next part to come out ( ... )

I love the Cheyenne series - several of those are my "comfort fics" when I'm too tired to read anything new.

The story-pic Yvonne has on her page is a lot more graphic than I envisioned - shirt off, and jeans unzipped to show a bit of pubes. http://www.squidge.org/~flashpoint/cheyenne/shirt2a.jpg

If that one was showed to Garett, I'm appalled at the stupidity and chutzpah of some of the fans. But if you can find the gauzy-shirt picture you're thinking of, I'd love to see it.

I got home right around midnight, and it's taken me about half an hour to learn to use hubby's scanner. But I think I have it saved to a disk. I'd send it by lj, but I don't remember how to set it up. Let me fall back to the way I know - email. Keep your fingers crossed!

Wow! That's going above and beyond the call. And I'm impressed all to heck - I've had a scanner for two years and never learned to use it.

But it got here. Thanks so much; it sure is pretty.
