Oh wow, so deliciously dark, this one.

Surely the Galaxy would thank him?

You would think! Poor Obi-Wan. I want to give him a hug. And... that's saying something, as I'm an Anakin fangirl at heart!

Nice work. *tosses fish*

Thank you!
I love the idea that just changing one event can make so much difference in the way everything plays out. For all Vader's nastiness, he has a definite soft spot for his children which is *some* sort of restraining influence on the Emperor and his plans.
Without him, who knows what can happen!

Wow!! High praise! ;)

You should continue the story!

I'll think about continuing the story for fish. I really shouldn't get myself in deeper with Star Wars than I already am...

I seem to be incapable of staying away from large amounts of writing that suck up all my time.
But it's so much FUN!

Without Anakin/Vader there to fill the space as "apprentice", who knows what could happen!!

As Machiavelli or someone like a Borgia once said, the root of all war is sibling rivalry, and boy, the thought of Luke and Leia ruling all the GFFA trying to outdo each other is monumental! Good AU. 'Poor Obi-Wan,' the words I keep typing again and again. Even if he euthanized Anakin as Jedi compassion would have him do, it was still wrong. Terrific AU and ending image.

Poor Obi-Wan indeed - he's in a no-win situation here - and the solution in the film seems really unpleasant!

As for the twins - I couldn't decide who would be the top dog, so I split the difference - brother and sister as equals are more formidable than a Master and Apprentice :)

Glad you enjoyed it - it was surprisingly good to write, too.

Very interesting. If I'm reading correctly (and I apologise if I'm confused), Luke and Leia have become Sith? Now that is quite the compelling thought! :)

No - you are right - Luke and Leia follow in their Father's footsteps, without his "balancing" presence in the Galaxy.

:)

Oh...oh...Wow.

I don't even think I can find words to describe what I love about this piece.

But it is definitely going in my memories.

Glad you enjoyed it - it was very cathartic to write - I don't like the ending to RotS, but then there wasn't much George could do about it, considering the OT was already done. Obi-Wan was in a no win situation, but it was interesting to imagine what might have happened if he'd chosen differently.
