Oh, Bleach. Oh, Game of Thrones... Why so sad?

Oh, way to slay me, Bleach. First time I've been emotionally affected by this story in a very long time. Geez. Bring on the sad, sad IchiRuki icons, Bleach fandom. Oh, and my favorite character is dead? Yes? No? Maybe? Sigh.

About three quarters of the way through A Game of Thrones. MORE emotional slayage. It's a sad, sad day in fictional land ( Read more... )

Which episode/chapter are you on? I just finished episode 291, which ends pretty much EXACTLY when chapter 387 ends. (I go back and forth between the anime and the manga; usually when there's a filler arc in the anime I try to find the chapter and read from there, but the two are getting REALLY close now...)

OH GOD, VISERYS. That killed me. I wanted to see him rehabilitated or something, but yeah, to die like that...ugh.

And re: your theories (without spoiling you): I just started the third book, and I can tell you that the matters surrounding both your theories haven't really even been touched on since. I think Lyanna is mentioned once (there IS something going on with her and Rhaegar, we just don't know WHAT) and Lysa Arryn hasn't even appeared since the Eyrie scenes.

But oh God, Lyanna + Rhaegar = Jon would be the best thing EVER. I think maybe I am finding the Targaryens a little TOO badass...

...and now that I think about it, it makes SO MUCH SENSE--why Robert was the one who killed Rhaegar while Jaime killed Aerys. I can't unsee it. :o

YES. If it's not true I am going to be severely disappointed.

I was reading the book for a while as well... but it's door-stopper status kinda put things on hold for me a little bit. (I'm not a reader by habit.)

One of the key things I remember about the book was every two pages shouting "LANNISTERS!" out loud because they'd done something else that was sneaky and cruel.

I put the book on hold for the same reason-- because dang that's a big book!-- but it's really proven worth the effort once I gave it a chance.

LOL. Oh, those Lannisters. Always up to something.

I can't talk about your theories, because I have strong beliefs about them and I want you to finish the books first.

About Vyseris, lol, all that crossed my mind was "well-earned". XD Sorry, didn't like him one bit and he got what he deserved.

And Bleach well... OTP is OTP. XD

Ooooh, strong theories? *Rubs hands together in anticipation*

Lol. I'm pretty sure yours was the appropriate reaction, but I was kinda hoping for a redemption arc for Viserys. Ah, well. He really was a little bastard.

OTP is breaking my heart right now.

One of your theories is pretty much THE theory that pretty much everyone in the ASOIAF fandom firmly believes is true (though it hasn't been proven...yet) ;)

...though if Martin doesn't finish ADWD we may never have a chance to find out!

Ooooh. Which one??? If it's the Lyanna one, I'm going to laugh and laugh because while I'm thinking it, I'm also like naaaaaah too much crack to be right... and YET...

Also: Have you read the latest Bleach chapter yet? I was kind of hoping for another one of your awesome metas. ;)
