Democracy hurts my feet

Today I managed to find the school where advanced polling was going on, and did my duty as a Canadian.

Eventually.
It seems I still fail to be on the voter registration list, even though I've voted in every election since I was nineteen and be living in this city for eight years, and in my riding for five. And my address was apparently teleporting ( Read more... )

The kitchen is seriously super nice. Lots of cupboards, new countertop, and that metal panelling. It's gorgeous. I'll take decent photos once I have possession (these are all photos from the listing).

I think the interior is going to look really nice on both levels once the flooring's put in. The outside needs more work, but I think the floors, especially the really rough ones in the basement, make the place look not nearly as delightful as it is.

Has the inspector told you anything interesting? Like, does he recommend stuffing several bodies in that closet, or does he think you may only be able to fit 2.7 bodies, and thus you should lower your offer price, and/or make your offer conditional on the renovation and expansion of said closet to fit more bodies? (I'm sure you can figure out the proper lawyerish wording and type this up.)

Looks like a good house that someone should have treated better. At least the floors. Poor floors. Why did they tear out all the flooring? Was there some kind of water damage, or smoke damage, or was the pattern just so ugly it had to go?

Speaking of ugly floor patterns, I understand you want from us the extra piece of flooring that came from the roll that we put in our bathroom. Are you SURE you want to do that?It is ugly. I don't care if your floor is offering blowjobs, it's better than... CIRCLES!

But anyway. Looks great.
Which room do we put the Civ table?

You know, he didn't mention how many bodies I could put in the closet, but he said some kids could probably go in the crawl space.

According to the listing agent, they had a spray-happy cat and were in the process of ripping out all the old carpet and such to put down hardwood when there was a job transfer out of town and they had to sell the place. You can see a lot of stuff that's been recently updated - the drywalling in the basement, some new windows, a new door - and everything else is kind of in demolished mode.

I like the circles! I don't understand what you have against the circles! I think they're pretty and soothing.

You can put your Civ table in the garage. That way no one will ever disturb your Civ game.
