Oddly enough, no! I was just reading a rec thread (which I shouldn't have done, because somehow they always manage to set me off) where the poster was asking for recs and gave a list of various works she had recently read that were TOTALLY AWESOME. A number of the titles were ones I'd consider ... questionable in their awesomeness, but Bujold's Vorkosigan books were listed, with an addenum that the poster was currently bogged down in Mirror Dance because GOD MARK IS SO EMO IT IS REALLY GETTING HER DOWN which ... seems to kind of be missing one of the major points of the book to the extent that I was really questioning the poster's reading comprehension.

And then a bunch of people posted comments agreeing with her and it just ... I don't know. Touched off something in my angry rage centres that couldn't be contained. I expect better from the internet, I guess, although God knows why sometimes.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but they should all agree with me. (It just ... it doesn't compute. If they've read this far, they've read multiple books with Miles, and if you can handle Miles, God love him, you should be able to handle a character who has /significantly better reasons/ to be the way he is.)

I apparently wrote this post back in February after finishing the book.

I cannot remember a single thing I said. I suspect it is neither incredible, thoughtful, or particularly meta. But I'm pretty sure it isn't in all caps like this post.
