Filter, anyone?

Going to set up a writing filter. Comment to be added.

The surprisingly inescapable nature of commentary on the Olympics is like having a little hammer at the back of my head, hitting it periodically and demanding it think about writing for Collin.
Primary focus remains on turning Ninja and Roommate to not shit (will probably put whining about that ( Read more... )

Add me! I've liked what I've read of yours.

I'm sort of bad at reading things as they're posted (I have the attention span of a gnat), but if there's anything you really really want feed back on, you can always link me and I will read.

But to forcibly link someone is /pushy/ and /demanding/ and God forbid anyone be /aggressive/ in pursuit of their creative endeavours. These are certainly not qualities that would be helpful in trying to get published.

Clearly what I should be doing is putting giant sparkly letters at the top of each post with writings in it, to capture your gnat-like attention span.

(I'm not sure I've mentioned it, but after several years of watching people get too busy or less interested or whatever and wandering away, I really appreciate that you've taken an interest. End emotional gooey bit.)

Me! Me! Me! Okay, so I'm horrible at reading and commenting but I still want the option? :3 If that's cool with you.

What, really?

I mean, not that you aren't entitled to the option, that is perfectly fine, it's just, uh, surprising since I understood the internet was primarily interested in fanfiction (and maybe original fiction with buttsex) and I haven't written fanfiction in, man, at least three years. Back during the first season of Supernatural. So the odds of there being fanfiction on the filter are rather lottery-like.

... You know what, I think I'll just go put my foot in my mouth.

Well, see, I pretty much figured out it'd mostly be Erik and Ray stuff. (And I haven't written fan fiction, per se, for over a year so nyah, I wasn't expecting that.)

I mean if all the stuff is up at the website then you wouldn't have to include me on the filter but I figure if I'm on it'll be a little bit more presence of mind than not. Er... for me, that is.

Not that it'll fix my horrible reading/commenting track record but uh... uh, it's your call.

(I getting to think we should just cut our losses with this conversation? =P )

Actually, all of the stuff on the website is probably oging to get deleted as soon as I remember to make sure I have it all backed up. Not that the website had anything current on it anyway - I don't think I'd updated it for at least a year.

I admit, I wasn't aware that you were aware of the Ray and Erik stuff ... and this is getting into the territory of me writing sentences that belong in old vaudeville comedy routines, so let's turn this conversations to puppies or something.

Just because I fail at commenting doesn't mean I don't make an attempt at reading your LJ. Filter pls?

Clearly you must increase your comment skill stat. (Did you get to see Bujold~?)

I did not get to see Bujold (well, I saw her in passing in the hall, but that's pretty usual for me at cons we're both at) because they did not have any of her readings or other appearances in large enough rooms. Thus, I have no idea about the new Vorkosigan book other than the "she's still working on it, no pub date yet" from the Baen new release presentation.

Her myspace tantalizing alludes to something involving chickens, so I'd really hoped you might have heard the reading.

Also, wasn't she a Guest of Honour at this con? Shouldn't that have involved ... decently sized rooms? Grumblesigh.

No, probably not, but I should at least pretend to be a supportive friend, right?
