[I keep inadverently selecting the keywords for a Ray-icon whenever I'm doing stuff involving Collin. Which NO BAD WRONG.]

We-ell, they are both exuberant extroverts who are used to getting their own way with a very high opinion of themselves ... but their sibling dynamics differ /hugely/ and Ray is notably more found of the sound of his own voice. So there are similarities, but, you know, as Collin has more writing to himself, I think he'll come into his own as a character separate from Ray.

I'm embarrassed to say that this is the first thing of yours that I read (I should really read more of your stuff!), but I found it quite amusing and enjoyable! I should make you explain your characters to me sometime.

Aw, I'm pleased! And, really, it's not like I've been hardcore writing much since we became friends. And my old stuff is /so rough/ that I think I would be embarrassed to have you read it. But I'm glad you enjoyed this one! (And I will explain my characters /endlessly/ at people if they let me.)
