So, for the past couple weeks of this Electmas, a meme's been going around where you basically list the things you'd like for Christmas, but probably won't be getting. I never really thought about doing this meme, but if I did, there would be the usual sort of improbable things on it. A place to live once my lease expires in April. A kitten.

Logically I know all this yet it still hurts on some level. Hurts that there are people this petty and shallow and it hurts even more than they'd bring their negativity and shit stirring to someone else's site, when all Eric did was make a cheerful little post about how great it was that Child's Play raised that much money at the diner and auction. I just ... I don't /get/ it. You're welcome to feel however you want about /any/ charitable organization, but, fuck, I'm not going to go and yell at volunteers at a soup kitchen because I think they're just doing it to make themselves feel better or because they don't feed the homeless /every single day/ or something. That's just ... AGH. The lack of logic, it hurts me.
