misinterpretation

Reading poetry and listening to lyrics of songs is always a mixed bag. My "favorites" tend to be written about one thing, but I interpret them to mean another. Occasionally, there's the double- or triple-entendre, which is clever and all, but often I have to pick the interpretation that I can most relate to ( Read more... )

One thing I definitely need to do before I write another novel is READ MORE STUFF. I want more ideas, to see more points of view, before I delve in and write something else. (Then again, I can be the Paul McCartney of novel writing, just plunging into it, feeling my way through things without any formal training. It worked out for him, so who knows ( ... )

I've been going through my novel, fixing typos and little things before I post it (I don't want to do any heavy editing without printing it out), and especially after reading Tomas's novel, trying to figure out how mine is paced.

I'm not going to the meeting tonight (shocking, I know; but there'a group meeting of the "WetColinFirth Appreciation Society" tonight and so I'm going to join them instead), so have fun!

I'm really tempted to "cheat" with this year's NaNo and write the other half of my story...or I might do that this summer, and do something totally new and different for NaNo. (A princess story. I want to write a proper princess story.

Hey, I'm glad we glad to talk a bit about my NaNo at the meeting. I'm really glad you liked it, and like I told you, it's really cool to see people's different reactions to it. What seemed obvious to one person totally tricked another, and viceversa.

Was there anything else that stood out for you? Any character you particularly liked/disliked?
