Opinions on DVD choices

You Tube and fan discussions have been how I educate myself on episodes. If I decide to splurge on the DVDs, does the release matter? Why should I choose seperate seasons vs boxed set? Is one variation more complete than the other? I'd prefer English, but can play almost any region issue. Thanks for any input!

imo, the release of the DVDs does not matter. All were copied from somewhat incomplete masters (a few eps have things missing, from a few seconds to a whole scene in Nightmare) and no, as far as I am aware, there is no difference between boxed sets and the four individual season boxes.

The only set that I know that has any difference is the UK set I have has one ten to fifteen second scene in Discomania that isn't on the US sets. Otherwise, buy whatever set is cheapest. They're all pretty much the same. Unless there is other info that I don't know about, of course. :)

whatever the origin, as the others have pointed out, there has been some weird editing (or even censorship) of some eps. Same opener for 2, etc
